“Praise Him with tambourine and dancing....
... Praise Him with the strings and flute.”

In the Psalm of Praise, king David exhorts us to praise God singing hymns accompanied with cymbals and flute. These words were given effect with the formation of a choir in our church under the guidance of Late Shri Abraham Padinjarethalalckal in 1987. Heavenly music resounded in our church and we realized we were in a spiritual ecstasy. Worship through the Holy Qurbana touched our souls with the divine music.

Late Shri Abraham Padinjarethalalckal as well as Shri Rajan Abraham put forth much effort in developing an excellent choir that performed many original songs. Some of the beautiful masterpiece of Sri Abraham Padinjarethalackal include “ nanniyode njan sthuthi paadidum” in which we sing to the lord with thanks giving and this particular song has won international fame winning amazing popularity. It is sung even in churches of other denominations across the world. Another such wonderful creation was : En prananum En Aayusum, ninn dhanam Mathramallo Naadha” .

“Malankara Catholica Mankala Ghanam”, an icon song of Indian Orthodox church, was the creation of Late Shri Abraham Padinjare Thalackal.

Many a times our choir got various opportunities to represent our church in Ecumenical Christmas program, different conventions and won appreciation and laurels. Our choir is noted for its unique way of singing during wedding ceremonies also.
