St. George Orthodox ValiyapallyPalarivattom
A place of worship, community, and spiritual growth since 1986
About Our Church
St. George Orthodox Valiyapally
Situated at Palarivattom Junction in Cochin, near the IT hub of Kerala, our church stands as a beacon of faith and community, witnessing remarkable growth and spiritual enrichment over the decades.
Our Journey of Faith
Our church began its sacred journey in 1986 when the foundation stone was laid with hope and devotion. The following year, in 1987, we were consecrated as a chapel of St Mary's Orthodox Cathedral, Ernakulam, beginning with a faithful congregation of 145 members.
On April 1st, 1991, a significant milestone was achieved when our church was declared an independent parish, marking the beginning of our autonomous spiritual journey.
Through God's grace and the dedication of our community, we have experienced commendable growth in all activities over 22 years. Our congregation has flourished from 145 to 685 devoted members.
In recognition of our growth and spiritual significance, our church was elevated to the esteemed status of "Valiyapally" on March 9th, 2008, cementing our place as a cornerstone of Orthodox faith in the region.
Our Patron Saint George
A courageous witness of Christ, Saint George inspires steadfast faith in the face of trials.
His example calls us to humility, mercy, and unwavering hope.

The legend of the dragon reminds us: by God's grace, faith overcomes fear and evil.
Through his prayers, may we stand firm and glorify God in all things.
